Classical or contemporary jazz and pop, we have a flexibility of teaching styles that will drive your ambition to play. You don’t have to be able to read music to enjoy and excel at playing the piano. (Although learning to do so will of course open up a whole new world to you!)
Conscious that many students would have a problem getting to us for lessons, we decided to maintain the option of online tuition that became so necessary during lockdown. This has proved popular with those students who like to have lessons in the comfort of their own home. The platform we prefer to use for this is Zoom. We find it offers more options for screen-sharing, better audio and the ability to record all or part of the lesson if requested by the student or parent.
Another popular option that we offer is asynchronous tuition via our extensive library of tutorials ranging from how to read chord symbols on a lead sheet to detailed tutorials on specific exam pieces. The advantage with this mode of learning is that the student and teacher are not tied to a specific regular time, Students can work at their own pace and ask questions they might not think of during a live lesson.
